Nurturing the Child Heart 

 It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you to my children’s album Dizzy Love from The Singing Hearts Club. This collection of 10 inspirational and educational songs is designed for babies and children up to 8 years old. ​The songs are contemporary, informative, funny, soothing and uplifting to encourage social skills and family togetherness. It is also available to order as a unique PERSONALISED CD with your child’s name sung and recorded live into the lyrics.

The songs are universally appealing and adult friendly so that parents and teachers feel inspired to revisit their inner child and nurture its spirit within while bonding with their own children.  

The songs teach Inner Life Skills  and address a variety of universal life experiences to make them relatable. The heartfelt messages and stories help build children’s self confidence, self esteem develop emotional intelligence, and stimulate cognitive skills in a fun way. The aim is to nurture a coherent heart ; one that is present, connected, creative, compassionate, courageous, forgiving and free to imagine a wonderful world and life.  A coherent heart and mind  fosters resilience, making children receptive for learning and emotional growth. With all the challenges and uncertainty our children face in todays world, nurturing our children’s hearts is a priority.

As adults we recognise the child heart in its freedom of expression, its authentic and uncensored voice, its purity and innocence filled with wonder, curiosity, creativity, imagination, with a full spectrum of emotion that allows a child to know and embody its inherent joyful nature. 

Everyone has a child heart and its sense of wholeness but not everyone can access it. Music and singing can create positive change and bring people together. When we genuinely share our child heart with our little ones, they feel important, seen and heard, safely feeling what it means to belong.​

As a mother, ex-primary school teacher and author of South African curriculum books for music and life skills, it was important for me that the songs addressed the topics explored in pre-school and the foundation phase curriculum. They  explore different themes such as, welcoming a new sibling into the family, road trips, birthdays, a bed time lullaby, the alphabet, animals, expressing feelings, caring for mother earth, nature, friendship and more.
